Key Points
Robert Kiyosaki, the famed author of “Rich Dad Poor Dad”, expressed his disapproval of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) amidst the ongoing banking crisis. His comments were made on X, previously known as Twitter. He warned his followers about the potential dangers of CBDCs, suggesting that they could be used to spy on individuals.
Kiyosaki’s Stance on Cryptocurrency
In response to the growing concerns around CBDCs, Kiyosaki proposed an alternative. He advocated for the purchase of more Bitcoin and silver coins. He argued that silver was a significant bargain and he intended to use it as currency, rather than the “fake US dollars”.
When asked about his strategy for dealing with a potential Bitcoin market crash, Kiyosaki expressed optimism. He stated that he would be happy and would buy more Bitcoin once the crash subsides. He further explained his viewpoint, stating that market crashes were simply opportunities to buy assets at discounted prices.
Donald Trump, the former US president, also expressed his opposition to CBDCs in January 2024. He voiced concerns about the potential implications of CBDCs on personal freedoms. He firmly stated that he would never allow the creation of a CBDC during his presidency.
Kiyosaki has long been a supporter of Bitcoin. His criticisms are typically directed at the Federal Reserve. He has previously encouraged his followers to buy gold, silver, and Bitcoin, instead of fighting the Federal Reserve.
Kiyosaki’s optimism about Bitcoin’s future price trajectory is well-known. He has consistently expressed his belief in Bitcoin’s long-term investment potential. In February, he predicted that Bitcoin would reach $100,000 by June 2024. He drew correlations between this prediction, national debt, and the demand for US bonds.
Kiyosaki also revealed last month that he owned 66 Bitcoin. He expects their value to increase exponentially, especially considering the SEC-approved ETFs.
