Bitcoin: An Unexpected Remedy to Counter Wealth-Driven Conflicts, Says Executive

Analysts Argue Bitcoin's Impact on Global Economy Could End Wealth-driven Conflicts

"Bitcoin: An Unexpected Remedy to Counter Wealth-Driven Conflicts, Says Executive"

Key Points

  • Max Keiser and Elwood suggest Bitcoin’s potential as a tool to promote global peace.
  • They argue that Bitcoin’s decentralized nature could disrupt the war-facilitating role of fiat currencies and central banks.
  • Bitcoin and Global Peace

Max Keiser, a prominent Bitcoin advisor and Chairman at Volcany Energy, recently engaged in a discussion with Elwood at Orange Pill. They explored the complex interplay between traditional fiat currencies, wars, and the potential of Bitcoin (BTC) to foster worldwide peace. This conversation coincides with Ukraine’s legislative actions to freeze bank accounts and assets of draft evaders, illustrating the forceful power governments exercise through centralized financial systems.

Keiser and Elwood critically assessed the role of fiat currency in perpetuating global conflicts. They posited that fiat currencies enable the continuation of wars. Fiat currencies sustain each country’s economy, which are then targeted by other nations. If Bitcoin replaced fiat currencies, many countries would lose the incentive to engage in wars.

Furthermore, Bitcoin’s decentralization and cryptographic security provide a robust “encrypted wall” around a nation’s economy, unlike fiat currencies susceptible to government control and inflation.

Elwood remarked in the interview, “With Bitcoin, none of us have to go fight an insane war that just benefits rich people.”

    Central Banks and Wars

The discussion also touched on central banks’ position on Bitcoin becoming the main currency. Central banks’ operation, particularly in relation to wars, is largely based on issuing debts that significantly boost a bank’s income growth. If Bitcoin becomes the standard currency, these banks would lose the motivation to lend money.

Elwood further explained, “The central banks just want you to keep betting on both teams. They don’t care who wins.”

This connection between war, fiat currency, and debt forms the basis for Keiser and Elwood’s support for Bitcoin as a practical alternative for achieving global peace.

Keiser and Elwood foresee a world where Bitcoin’s adoption results in a significant shift in international relations. With economies protected by Bitcoin, nations would have little to gain from aggression and would instead pursue peaceful dispute resolutions. This viewpoint is not just idealistic; it acknowledges the technological and economic realities that Bitcoin—a stateless, decentralized currency impervious to government and central banking policies—presents.

Keiser emphasized the significance of Bitcoin becoming the global currency, stating, “Economics has always evolved in the course of human history as a by-product of wars. If there is no profit in going to war because the money is unconfiscable, then you’re not gonna go to war.”

The message to U.S. congressmen and global policymakers is unmistakable: Adopt Bitcoin as a means to foster world peace. By advocating for the expedited adoption and use of Bitcoin, leaders can counteract the traditional financial mechanisms that underpin and perpetuate wars.
