Bitcoin’s Sustained Rally
Bitcoin [BTC] has continued to show significant growth since Q4 2023. In Q4, it rose by 56.8% and has already posted a 60% increase in Q1 2024, according to TradingView data.
Fred Krueger, a serial tech investor and Bitcoin maximalist, has commented on this trend. He believes that Bitcoin’s risk-reward ratio is currently at its best.
Price Predictions and Potential Risks
Krueger predicts that Bitcoin could reach between $90K and $100K by April. In the long term, he expects the cryptocurrency to hit between $200k and $1M by the end of the next halving cycle in 2028.
Krueger also believes that Bitcoin’s adoption, currently around 1% of the world’s population, will increase significantly. This could lead to most things being priced in Bitcoin.
However, Krueger identifies Ethereum [ETH] as a potential risk to Bitcoin’s dominance. Ethereum’s greater programmability, particularly for tokenizing real-world assets, could give it an edge.
Despite these predictions, Bitcoin faced some challenges in mid-March. According to LookOnChain, a smart money analysis platform, there was increased selling pressure on Bitcoin, particularly from whales on the Binance exchange.
