Crypto.com has introduced OG, a standalone prediction market platform designed for sports enthusiasts. The platform launched days before the Super Bowl, targeting heightened user interest.
According to a Feb. 3 press release, OG combines a regulated trading environment with social media features. While sports are the initial focus, prediction contracts will also cover financial, political, cultural, and entertainment events.
OG plans to offer access to CDNA’s margin-based prediction contracts through Crypto.com’s federally licensed futures commission merchant. The company stated this would make OG the first prediction market platform to provide margin trading functionality.
Leadership and Platform Structure
The platform will operate as a separate company within the Crypto.com group. Chief legal officer Nick Lundgren has been appointed CEO of OG.
Crypto.com co-founder and CEO Kris Marszalek said recent growth in prediction market activity supported the decision to create a standalone platform. He noted that the company aims to establish OG as a leading sports prediction market with a strong customer experience.
Regulatory Position and Partnerships
Crypto.com has expanded its prediction market presence alongside established industry participants. The company has pursued multiple partnerships to support infrastructure, payments, and market access.
The firm is among a limited number of platforms to receive full-stack approval from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. This status allows it to operate prediction markets directly for consumers while also supporting institutional clients.
