On March 7th, President Donald Trump is set to host a landmark crypto summit. Reports suggest that the event could feature the unveiling of a strategic Bitcoin reserve plan.
Journalist Ksenija Pavlovic McAteer has indicated that the much-anticipated national Bitcoin reserve strategy will be announced at the event, as per information from Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.
Bitcoin Reserve Strategy
According to the report, Lutnick stated that Bitcoin would be treated differently from other cryptocurrencies in the reserve. If this information is confirmed, it could significantly impact the markets.
The President has entrusted the Digital Working Group, which includes David Sacks and Secretary Lutnick, with the task of developing a digital asset stockpile framework. This framework, slated for completion in six months, aims to establish a legally grounded reserve that extends beyond the current administration.
Summit Attendees
Eleanor Teanor, a journalist for Fox Business, reported that the summit attendees will include Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Strategy founder Michael Saylor. Other participants will include representatives from MultiCoin Capital, World Liberty Financials, and Chainlink.
Kraken’s Arjun Sethi, Robinhood’s Vlad Tenev, and Paradigm CEO Matt Huang have also been invited. Matt Huang has confirmed his attendance and has pledged to advocate for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana builders during the meeting.
As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding the attendance of Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse. However, he has expressed his intention to advocate for multi-coin crypto reserves, including XRP, at the summit.
