Key Points
- MicroStrategy CEO, Michael Saylor, predicts that Bitcoin could reach $10 million per coin in the long run.
- Bitcoin price projection based on Power Law supports Saylor’s bold prediction, but the model has its limitations.
Despite a recent drop in value, Bitcoin remains a hot topic of conversation.
MicroStrategy founder and CEO, Michael Saylor, has maintained a bullish stance on the cryptocurrency, predicting that it could reach a value of $10 million per coin in the future.
Saylor’s Predictions
In a recent interview, Saylor referred to Bitcoin as ‘economic immortality.’ He contrasted it with traditional currency, which he referred to as ‘imperfect money.’
He suggested that in times of crisis, whether personal or national, people become more open to the idea of Bitcoin.
Is $10M per BTC feasible?
Saylor’s projection is supported by the Power Law model, which bases future projections on previous growth and historical trends.
However, the model doesn’t take into account potential advancements, regulatory changes, or other factors that could affect Bitcoin’s value.
This isn’t the first time Saylor has made such a bold prediction. He previously stated that Bitcoin’s market cap could reach 10%-20% of total world wealth.
If this prediction proves accurate, Bitcoin could indeed reach $10 million per coin. However, as of now, Bitcoin’s overall market value is significantly less than 1% of total world wealth.
