Bitcoin [BTC] and Chainlink [LINK] have seen a rise in their social activity metrics, according to recent data. An examination of their price trends can provide insight into the reasons behind these surges.
Data from Lunar Crush, a platform that ranks crypto assets based on social activity, revealed that Bitcoin and Chainlink are in the top two spots. Bitcoin had over 138.7 million interactions, while Chainlink accumulated 56.6 million.
Increased Social Activity and Price Trends
The social activity metric indicates the number of mentions these assets receive, which could be for various reasons. These mentions can draw more attention to the asset, whether positive or negative.
Bitcoin’s social volume on Santiment, as analysed by AMBCrypto, was higher on 22nd April than the previous day. However, the social volume had decreased compared to the preceding days. Despite this decline, Bitcoin’s social volume remained higher than that of Chainlink.
Examining the social dominance metric revealed that Bitcoin had over 25%, while Chainlink had less than 1%. This metric shows the percentage of discussions each asset occupies within the broader cryptocurrency discourse.
