Michael Saylor, the Chairman and CEO of MicroStrategy, remains extremely bullish on Bitcoin (BTC).
During his keynote speech at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Tennessee, he suggested that BTC could potentially reach $13 million per coin by 2045 in a base case scenario.
Saylor’s Predictions and Advice
Saylor’s bullish outlook on Bitcoin is not new. In late 2023, he projected a price range of $5 million to $10 million per BTC, reinforcing this prediction in June 2024.
He bases these predictions on Bitcoin capturing between 5% and 10% of global wealth. Currently, Bitcoin represents less than 1% of global wealth, indicating a significant potential for growth.
Saylor also offered Bitcoin strategies for individuals, companies, and nations. He advised making Bitcoin the primary treasury asset and converting excess earnings into BTC. He cautioned against quitting jobs or losing focus on Bitcoin.
Corporate and National Bitcoin Strategies
For corporations, Saylor suggested converting long-term capital and cash flow into Bitcoin. He also proposed issuing debt or equity to acquire more Bitcoin, while warning against wasting capital on stock buybacks or taxable dividends.
On a national level, Saylor recommended reallocating from gold and bonds to Bitcoin and avoiding hostile policies towards the cryptocurrency sector. He also suggested issuing currency and sovereign debt to buy Bitcoin and integrating the digital asset with the banking sector.
The Bitcoin 2024 conference has been viewed as a bullish catalyst, with the Options market expecting an upside after a speech scheduled for 27 July.
