Key Points
- Bitcoin [BTC] has recovered from a low of $64.5K to $69.7K, an 8% rally.
- Bitcoin market cycle theorists believe that Bitcoin could witness a wild parabolic rally soon.
Bitcoin [BTC] has experienced a notable recovery in Q2, 2024. After a challenging start, it has rebounded from $64.5K to $69.7K at the time of writing. This represents an over $5K increase, or an 8% rally, for those who took advantage of the dip.
However, at the time of writing, the February-April trendline support had not yet been reclaimed. Despite this, theorists who study the Bitcoin market cycle are confident that a significant parabolic rally could be on the horizon.
Theorists Predict Parabolic Rally
Among these theorists is Vijay Boyapati, an internet personality and author of “The Bullish Case for Bitcoin”. He suggests that once Bitcoin reaches an all-time high, there is “no overhang of supply” and the price has the potential to go parabolic.
Other market cycle theorists share Boyapati’s view. For example, crypto research analyst Rekt Capital believes that a weekly close above the 2021 cycle high of $69K is crucial for further upside. He noted that Bitcoin has recovered back above the ~$69,000 level and now just needs the new weekly candle close to fully confirm this.
Indeed, the weekly candlestick did close at $69.36K, supporting his theory. Based on the BTC cycle, he sees the re-accumulation breakout as the start of a parabolic rally.
Meanwhile, Steve Courtney of Crypto Crew University suggests that Bitcoin will be in the last stage of the bull cycle when it closes above $68.6K on the monthly chart. He also mentioned that the asset could witness a parabolic rally if BTC closed above $68.6K at the end of April.
However, several factors could pose short-term challenges. The previous multi-month trendline support, the $71K resistance level, and macro headwinds are all worth considering.
