Data shows that a large amount of Ethereum was recently moved to an exchange by one of the cryptocurrency’s early holders.
This transfer, although relatively small, could have contributed to the positive Netflow trend that Ethereum has been experiencing.
Spot on Chain data reveals that 4,153 Ethereum coins were transferred to Coinbase in the early hours of May 13.
This transfer, worth over $12 million at the current Ethereum price, was noteworthy because it came from one of the early Ethereum wallets.
Increased Exchange Inflow and Trading Volume
Further analysis of this wallet shows that it has deposited over 9,000 Ethereum coins, worth more than $21 million, to exchanges since 2021.
Currently, the wallet holds 2,566 Ethereum coins, valued at over $7 million.
The recent transfer has contributed to the positive Netflow trend observed in Ethereum transactions.
The Ethereum Netflow chart shows a significant increase in positive flow over the last three days, with the current surge indicating a substantial increase in exchange inflow.
Furthermore, the Ethereum volume shows an increase, with the trading volume now approximately $10.1 billion.
The price of Ethereum is also on the rise, nearing the $3,000 price zone.
The daily timeframe chart shows that Ethereum has surged by over 1.7%, with its trading price around $2,980.
